The Intifada (Palestinian Uprising)

       A Jewish Eye Witness

A dramatic "Photomated" slide presentation on video.

Written & Narrated by Elana Levy

Produced by Tim Brachocki & Elana Levy

This remarkable video looks at the Palestinian life under the Occupation, Palestinian and Israeli resistance to the Occupation and examines some possible solutions to this devastating dilemma.

From “The Intifada”

"In the U.S., we've been raised to believe in and fight for the equal rights of all people.  We've demanded that everyone's civil, political and human rights be recognized and respected.  The preservation of these rights is an ongoing struggle.  I'd been involved in this struggle for the past 30 years and realized that if I was going to be consistent with what I had been fighting for, I had a responsibility as a Jew to learn first-hand what was going on in Israel and the Territories it now occupies.  Hearing the news coming from that part of the world since the start of the Palestinian Uprising compelled me to visit the region.  What I saw forced me to speak out -- as a Jew, as an American, as a woman and as a human being".  ---Elana Levy

Reviews:

"A new perspective on the Intifada-- something which generally isn't available in the U.S.  American Jews should see this perspective in order to get a more complete picture of the Middle East conflict.
